" Tatiana Verstraeten re-energises Haute Joaillerie with the fantasy and freedom of couture jewellery.”
— Vivienne Becker
TATIANA VERSTRAETEN has harboured a strong interest in design since a young age, instilled by her mother – Beaux Arts graduated painter and sculptor. However she completed a Master in Business Management and Finance in Brussels and London.
Later, she arrives in Paris, works for Maison MICHEL, then with Anthony VACCARELLO. It was at CHANEL, under Karl Lagerfeld ‘s watchful eye, that Tatiana started creating jewellery.
The latter was to become her all time reference in terms of rigour and elegance. She discovers the exceptional skills of the Métiers d’Art.
In January 2019 she launched her own eponym high jewellery collection at 24 Place Vendôme in Paris. British Vogue was to reveal the very first piece of her collection, the remarquable «Diamonds rain» fringe earrings, her Signature Piece.
Shortly after her official launch, the «Vienne» necklace (one of the two unique pieces of her first collection) is selected by SOTHEBY’S to be featured in the «In Bloom» exhibition, which celebrates the history and development of flower motives in jewellery from the 19th century until today.
All through May 2019 Tatiana’s work can be seen at SOTHEBY’S New York, along side Cartier, Fabergé, Cindy Chao, Van Cleef & Aarpels, Boucheron or David Webb.
At the same time, the young designer is to be seen at the GemGenève International Gem and Jewellery Fair , where she has been invited as part of the New Talents’ Vivarium.
For her first high jewellery collection, Tatiana skilfully plays with diamonds, precious stones and pearls, in challenging shapes and forms, while maintaining the very essence of fine jewellery tradition.
The result is sophisticated and feminine.
The designer reveals her distinctive style and creativity through a variety of themes, presenting both exemplary signature collections and exceptional unique pieces.
Tatiana chose for a Made in France ethical gold production, and all diamonds are purchased in compliance with KPCS standards.
